When the time comes for you to get a new TV you will probably be looking for a new TV stand as well and you want to match the two items up. You can't cut corners when it comes to your new stand if you have spent a large amount of money on your new television. Sadly a corner TV stand has some weaknesses if we approach our new TV stand with this attitude.
If you take your television viewing pretty seriously you don't want to have your TV set stuck in the corner of your room. If you use the sound direct from the TV the sounds gets trapped in the corner. And if you use external sound it makes it tough to get the speakers positioned right, unless you have a huge room, in which case you won't have your TV in the corner. It also makes the location of you furniture odd and potentially uncomfortable and offer you a poor view of your screen.
